ATLANTA (AP) _ Toronto guard T.J. Ford was taken off the floor
on a stretcher after a flagrant foul late in the Raptors' 100-88
victory over Atlanta.
Ford, who missed the 2004-05 season following neck surgery, was
sent crashing to the floor when Hawks rookie Al Horford hit the
guard's face with his hand. Ford landed hard, his head bouncing off
the floor. He scored 26 points before the injury.
Ford was conscious and a Raptors' spokesman confirmed Ford had
feeling in his upper and lower extremities when he was taken off
the floor. Ford will likely spend the night in an Atlanta hospital.
Horford was ejected for the flagrant foul. He insists he isn't a
dirty player, saying he didn't try to hurt Ford.
Marvin Williams and Joe Johnson both had 23 points for Atlanta.
