The FAMU Baby Rattlers had hopes of winning their second consecutive title, but after leading at the half 14-6, Jupiter Christian responded by scoring 21 unanswered points to win 27-14.
Later that day, the North Florida Christian Eagles took the field for their second consecutive championship game against American Heritage. The 19 seniors on NFC were looking to take home a State championship but their dreams were stripped away when a 40 yard field goal sail though the goal post as time ran out to give American Heritage the 31-28 win.
One day later, the Madison County Cowboys took the field in Orlando with the hopes of winning their first state title since early this decade. The last time the Cowboys were in a championship game, they lost to the Immokalee Indians 17-15. But with the power running of Cory Akins and Chris Thompson, the Cowboys rolled up 386 yards rushing against Tampa Catholic as they won 28-7.
