ATLANTA (AP) _ Alex Montgomery and Chioma Nnamaka each scored 19
points to lead Georgia Tech to a 79-to-67 win over Georgia State
The Panthers (2-7) took their only lead of the game at 39-to-38
with 18:30 left in the second half on a Shay Rawls lay up.
But Montgomery, who also had 10 rebounds and three steals, made
a jumper soon after as the Yellow Jackets regained the advantage.
Then Georgia Tech (10-1) went on a 20-to-six run over the next
nine minutes, building a 16-point advantage with just over nine
minutes remaining in the game.
Janie Mitchell scored 16 points for the Yellow Jackets, while
Brigitte Ardossi added nine points and a career-high four steals in
a reserve role.
Brittany Hollins and Traci Haltiwanger scored 15 points each for
Georgia State. Hollins had eight assists.
