The LSU Lady Tigers are ranked number 11 in the nation and they raced out to an early 8-0 lead on FSU at the Donal L. Tucker Civic Center.
The Seminoles were never able to recover as they trailed the entire game. FSU cut the lead down to 45-41 at one point in the second half but the Lady Tigers turned to their All-American center Sylvia Fowles to race away at the end. Fowles finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Her teammate, Quianna Chaney led all scorers with 27 points including 5 3-pointers.
The Seminoles were led by Shante Williams who scored 20 points on the night.
The loss drops Florida State to 10-5 on the year and they begin conference play this Sunday (1/6) against Virginia Tech.
