STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) _ Jamont Gordon had 15 points to lead Mississippi State to a 60-49 victory today over Georgia.

Mississippi State (11-5, 2-0 Southeastern Conference) extended its season-high winning streak to six games and improved to 2-0 in the conference.

Georgia responded with its own 9-0 run late in the half, but a 3-pointer by Mississippi State's Riley Benock ended the run.

Sundiata Gaines led Georgia with 15 points.
