NFC announces the signing of three seniors today to athletic baseball scholarships for next season.
Seniors Dayne Read (Chipola CC) Eric Sauls (Sante Fe CC-Gainesville) and
Brandon Neel (Darton CC-Albany) will sign letters-of –intent today.
The signings will take place in the lower level of the TV station at 2:25 on the campus of North Florida Christian School.
All three seniors were members of the NFC 2007 State Championship team that finished last spring with a record of 25-6. Each player will play an important role during the 2008 season as the Eagles defend their 2A state title.
Dayne Read, catcher, batted .380 last year with 4 HR, 11 doubles, 33 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.
Eric Sauls (3B) had 4HR and 5 doubles, along with 20 RBIs in 2007.
Sauls and Read both played last summer for the Pan Handle Indians AAU team. This fall, Sauls and Neel played for the Tallahassee Legends AAU team.
Read was a member of the NFC football team as a running back and defensive back this fall.
NFC should have a couple more seniors make commitment later this spring.
