ATLANTA (AP) _ Janie Mitchell scored 23 points and Chioma
Nnamaka added 20 points and five steals, leading Georgia Tech to an
83-73 victory over Florida State today.
Tech (18-4, 5-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) built a 44-39 lead at
halftime and opened the second half with a 17-2 run to build a
61-41 lead with 11:30 left in the game.
The Seminoles (14-8, 4-3) came back with an 8-0 run, but were
never able to seriously challenge the Tech women the rest of the
Tanae Davis-Cain came off the bench to lead FSU with 28 points
before fouling out late in the game.
Alex Montgomery added 17 points and Iasia Hemingway had 14
points and 8 rebounds for the Yellow Jackets.
FSU got 13 points from Alysha Harvin and 12 from Jacinta Monroe.
