TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) _ It'll be home sweet home for Florida
State in 2008, and the Seminoles will get Labor Day off for the
first time in four years.
The Seminoles will play seven of 12 games on their home turf.
The schedule also keeps them in state for a neutral site game
against Colorado in Jacksonville and at Miami for an Atlantic Coast
They leave Florida only three times to play at North Carolina
State, Georgia Tech and Maryland, all ACC opponents. Georgia Tech
replaces Duke on Florida State's ACC schedule.
For the first time since 2004, the Seminoles won't start their
season on Labor Day.
The past four years they also have opened against ACC opponents.
This year, they'll be able to tune up for the ACC with a pair of
non-conference home games against Western Carolina and Chattanooga
before beginning conference play, also at home against Wake Forest.
