Lady Rattlers Hope to Nip this Streak In the Bud

The Lady Rattlers donned the pink jerseys over the weekend in a fight against cancer, even a jersey change could not solve the misfortune that the Lady Rattlers have encountered this season.

Similar to the men's squad, the Lady Rattlers enjoyed a hot start to build an early 11-point lead in the first half, however, they trailed by a point at half time, and ran out of steam in the second half.

It's a familiar script that the Lady Rattlers are trying to overcome, despite losing one of their star players to injury.

"We lost Dedra Jones for the year. She was our leading scorer. We had some tragedies. Some people dealing with illnesses. One girls had a death in the family. Just one of those situations that's part of athletics. We have to find a way to regroup and get the job done with the people that we have," says head coach Debra Clark.
