Injured Panthers Hockey Player Zednik Leaves Hospital

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) _ Florida Panthers forward Richard Zednik has
been discharged from Buffalo General Hospital and has returned to
Florida.

Zednik was released Friday, hospital officials said. It was less
than a week after he was accidentally slashed in the throat by a
teammate's skate. He lost five pints of blood after the incident.

In a statement released Friday, the 32-year-old forward said he
had received support and encouragement from people all over the
world.
