Tallahassee, FL - The Rickards football team wasn't expecting to practice on a summer Saturday morning. But former Raiders star William Gay had other plans.

"If this is their dream to play football and get better," Gay said, "we're going to show you what we did to get to this professional level."

At Gay's second football camp, it looked more like a training camp. Kids, about 200 of them, were drilled to exhaustion.

It was on the same field that Gay played on about a decade ago.

"It's just that connection that they can see, okay, well, we got this connect that William Gay went to Rickards, he played on this field and now he's teaching me," he said. "So it's just to show the love for these kids."

When NFL players, like Florida State alum Myron Rolle, heard about Gay's camp, they couldn't pass it up.

"I said absolutely." Rolle said. "Number one, Will is a fantastic guy, a magnanimous individual. Somebody who always supports altruism and whose done a lot for the Tallahassee community."

Gay hopes his work is far from done.

"I just want to, like I said, give my knowledge because when I'm done playing football, that's all I want to do is pass it on," Gay said.

That way perhaps he can make another athlete's NFL dream come true.
