Cairo High Girls' Hoops Will Play In Quarterfinals

By  |

There will be no Big Dance at the High school level, but there is a a Georgia State Title run that the Cairo Syrupmaids don't intend on leaving any time soon.

Last night in front of the Syrupmaker faithful, the Syrupmaids won 67 to 61, which pins them in the State Quarterfinals.

They will now play Glenn Hills in Columbus on neutral ground; something that does not seem to concern head coach Lucy Baker:

"Hey, we're just glad to be playing, neutral site is just a neutral site, we just go up there and believe it becomes our place."
