Big news on the college diamond! The FAMU Rattlers beat the No. 6 Florida 4 to 3!
It's the first time FAMU has beaten Florida in 19 tries. The Rattlers scored 4 in last night's game. No.4 Florida State only scored 2 runs in 3 games against the Gators and all were losses.
The Rattlers were 0 to 18 before Wednesday's 4 to 3 win. The win is the first victory over a nationally ranked team since FAMU beat No. 4 Miami 2-1 in 1980.
"You don't play the opposition, you play the game and if you play the game well enough anything can happen and tonight anything happened. We were able to beat a very good nationally ranked team on the road," said Coach Jamey Shouppe.
"Winning feels great I am not going to lie, never felt better, things are good at FAMU right now," said Player William Carrasco.
