For 7 years Wes James has been the sideline reporter for VSU. He's the man many VSU fans scratch their heads wondering why he's on the field and holding up the game. James says its just a part of his duty.
"Part of my job is to work with the GSC referees to assure we get the right radio timeouts."
Among the perks of the job, in addition to getting paid to talk football, James can't get enough of the Chris Hatcher led "Hatch Attack."
"To do what he's done in as little time as it took him is just phenomenal."
James loves his job and intends to offer sideline commentary "for as long as they let me."
