TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Alonzo Coleman ran for 181 yards and four touchdowns tonight to lead Hampton to a 59 to 7 win over Florida A&M.
Hampton also clinched at least a share of a third consecutive MEAC championship along with the conference's bid to the Division One-Double-A playoffs.
Florida A&M (6-4, 4-3) scored its only touchdown when receiver Roosevelt Kiser recovered a fumble in the end zone in the second quarter.
Hampton's defense held the Rattlers to 157 offensive yards, including 75 in the first half, and forced four turnovers.
The loss ended a three-game winning streak for the Rattlers, who finish their season next week against Bethune-Cookman.
