Former Lincoln Trojan and Florida State Seminole Safety Pat Watkins didn't see the field as much as he would have liked last season with the Dallas Cowboys. A neck stinger in early December forced him onto injured reserve the last month of the season.
Watkins made it back to the field Saturday morning, albeit still without his helmet and pads. He traded those in for a coaches whistle, as he helped host his first football camp at his old stomping ground. Watkins says the turnout wasn't overwhelming, but those who did show up weren't disappointed.
Watkins said, "I try to keep it to a minimum, primarily I was working with the Boys and Girls club this year for my first camp and I think it was pretty successful. We came out here and had a good time and that's mainly what it's about, raising donations and just having fun."
