Plenty of fans made the 600-mile trip to Cary, NC to cheer on the Seminole Women's Soccer Team. Unfortunately, it wasn't the outcome they were looking for.
It was a sold out crowd at the SAS Soccer Stadium as the Noles took on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
The FSU fans making their presence known with the traditional tomahawk chop, but it just wasn't enough in the end.
"Sports is a lot of skill and it's a lot of luck," said fan Debbie Trotter. "I think they were the better team, but this particular time we just didn't win."
Even the youngest FSU fans kept their heads up high knowing the women played their hearts out, and there's always next year.
The Lady Noles have made an appearance in the semifinals three of the last four years.
