"My goal in Taekwondo is to become the state champion for Florida and I want to become a high ranking black belt and I want to try and become World Champion."

That was Courtney Murray a little more than two years ago, when we first introduced you to the Taekwondo sensation. Fast forward to today, Courtney is just one step away from completing those goals, as the now black belt and two time State Champion in Forms and Weapons sets her sights on this weekend's World Championships in Littlerock, Arkansas. With her biggest title almost within reach, Courtney can hardly believe it.

Murray said, "I can't really picture myself being able to walk around saying, 'I'm world champ.' It's just, I really want it really bad, I just can't imagine it actually happening."

She may not have to imagine much longer. The upcoming sophomore has worked tirelessly to get to this point.

"I've been training almost 2-3 hours, five days a week," she added. "I've been going to a lot more tournaments. I've probably gone to about 30 this year."

That dedication and determination shine through when she takes the stage.

Head Master Emory Morris says, "She has a poise about her that I think really stands out. Especially in form competition, you have to show that you've got all the power, the technique, the intensity of everything, but then also to do it with a graceful side."

With that unique combination, Courtney goes for World Champion. If all goes well, she'll be starting a new list of goals when she returns.
