The school announced Billy Sexton will join Florida State University's fundraising arm in January.

It's the second change on Bowden's offensive staff in as many months, and more could be forthcoming since the veteran coach is searching for a new offensive coordinator.

Florida State finished its season with a 6 and 6 record. The team left Friday for San Francisco, where it will play UCLA in the Emerald Bowl on Wednesday.

Sexton's move comes five weeks after the program's boosters paid nearly $540,000 for Bowden's son, Jeff Bowden, to resign as the offensive coordinator.

Sexton played quarterback for the Seminoles in 1973. He will join the FSU Foundation as a development associate with a salary not to exceed his current coaching base of $140,000.
