Football is far from the only sport on display in our area Saturday. Tallahassee's Messer Park is playing host to 44 teams from across the South in a two day baseball tournament. Pool play for the Summer Fling began Saturday morning, all leading up to Sunday's single elimination finale. While winning is the bottom line for the participating teams, tournament organizers are equally concerned with another bottom line.
Kip West says, "The biggest thing is it keeps our local teams here, as for as the city wide impact our economic impact is tremendous. We had the ability to occupy 165 rooms last night in Tallahassee and just stimulate some growth locally."
