Florida State found themselves in another must win situation on Saturday at the University of Miami. It was the regular season finale for both squads and with Florida State perhaps on the bubble of the NCAA touranment, they needed to win. And that they did thanks to a tremendous effort by ACC Player of the Year candidate, Al Thornton.
Thornton dropped in 45 points in the Noles 98-90 overtime win in Coral Gables. It was the highest number of points scored in an ACC game this season.
FSU improves to 19-11 overall and 7-9 in league play as they prepare for next week's ACC tournament.
