If they want to dance among the NCAA brackets, the FAMU Rattlers need to win the MEAC Championship. Their road to the big dance begins Wednesday night in the MEAC tournament.
"We're going to have to beat good people in the tournament because it's one and done." says FAMU Head Coach, Mike Gillespie.
Hampton and Howard tip off at 6:30, so someone's season will be done tonight. The winner will play FAM tomorrow.
"Whether it be Howard or Hampton, it doesn't matter. Hampton's given us problems in the two losses we had to them. We turned the ball over a number of times and if we can correct the problems, I like our chances Wednesday night. If we're going to win the tournament we have to beat three good teams." adds Gillespie.
If FAM wins their first game, they'll play in Friday in the semi's and if they win again, they'll play in the championship on Saturday and if they're crowned MEAC champs, a dancing they will go for the second time in four years.
