"We should play beter as a result of going against a team like Miami." - Joe Taylor
The FAMU Rattlers feel pretty good coming off their loss to Miami. They may have lost by 28, but they got to measure themselves against one of the premiere teams in the nation. Now, the team feels confident going on the road against undefeated South Carolina State.
FAMU head coach Joe Taylor says,"I've said to the team, I've said all last wee that if we had to write the script ourselves, it could;t have been written better for how our schedule is."
FAMU offensive lineman Robert Okeafor says, "It's great preparation for the next game to go against competition so high as Miamim, and then get ready for the next game. Not to say South Carolina State isn't talented, but you know those guys in Miami are a little more talented."
The Rattlers will also have a little more ammo when they face the Bulldogs. The defense adds linebacker Bryan Parker, who was unavailable for the game with the Canes.
Parker says, "Oh, I can't wait. I've been resting for a long time. My body is feeling pretty good. We're just eager to get after them in practice and scout them on film, so we can go beat them."
If the Rattlers do that, they'll snap their six game losing streak to the Bulldogs and take a strange hold on the MEAC.
