UNC a Jump-Start for FSU Football

Florida State's come from behind 30-27 win over North Carolina was just what the Seminoles needed to jump-start a turnaround in their season. After falling behind 24-6 early in the second half, FSU outscored the Heel's 24-3 to come away with their first ACC win..
FSU Defensive Coordinator Mickey Andrews says,
"Collectively we did what we had to do to win the football game. You'd like to hold a team to fewer points then that, especially against an outstanding defense like our offense was going against. As a team we were able to accomplish what we set out to do and that was win the ball game."
It was another career day for red shirt Junior Quarterback Christian Ponder, who set new bests with 395 yards passing and tied a school record with a 98 yard touchdown pass to Rod Owens late in the third quarter.
FSU Offensive Coordinator Jimbo Fisher adds,
"He's understanding why things are happening. In ball as a quarterback or any athlete, when you understand why you're doing something, you can do it in much greater detail. He gets the big picture."
The saying in sports is, it's not how you start, it's how you finish. The win at North Carolina can be a spark to ignite Florida State for the second half of the season.
