NASCAR: Racing In Texas

By  |

For years NASCAR has been pegged the sport of the south. Plenty of revenue and wise marketing has allowed the sport to spread north and west. This weekend, it hits Texas.

"I like going to Texas, I have a lot of family there. I think it's going to be a big change after all these cars of tomorrow races. We got out week off, them we go to Texas, I think it's going to take some time for us to adapt back to the other cars again," says Denny Hamlin.

Hamlin speaks on behalf of many drivers when he argues that its not so much the location, but the type of track and cars driven.

"I really like Texas. It's a lot of fun to race there. Back to the mile and a half race tracks I like to race on. Looking forward to it, it's a track you can run the top and bottom, last time we were there it was really, really fast," adds Greg Biffle.

If you thought the greens at Augusta National were fast, watch out! Driver takes on a different meaning this weekend in Texas.
