It's time for a View of the Diamond, and we start up in Thomasville where the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets look to avenge a couple of losses.
Head Coach Chad Parkerson tells us, "So far we've done decent, we're 11-5, 3-2 in the region, Lee County has beat us twice, we get two more shots at them next Friday."
South a mile or two, Thomasville High looks to start a streak, as the balls starting to bounce off the bats pretty well.
Thomasville High head man Erik McDougald says, "We played Mitchell County and needed a big win coming off spring break, and we were able to hit the ball a little bit, we've been struggling at the plate, and guys performed real well."
In Tallahassee, Godby hopes to ride their current hot streak deep into the playoffs. Cougars boss Robbie Zimmerman says, "We're enjoying the ride while we can keep it going...We're working hard to continue to climb that mountain."
And finally, at Rickards, Coach Kelly hopes to see some improvement one game at a time. Blue Raiders Head Coach Brian Kelly states, "Playing pretty good ball, we had some losing streaks, and some winning streaks, but we're getting better as the season goes along and that's what we need to do most."
As the season winds down, it's time for the teams to step up. Just a few weeks until the playoffs, that's a View of the Diamond.
