FSU Loses First Home Game of the Season

It was a tale of two cities, a team from Gainesville, losers of 5 in a row, versus a home team in the Seminoles who have won 5 in a row, and thirty in a row at home. So what happens when these two teams meet at Tallahassee? Logic gets thrown out the window.

FSU second baseman Tony Thomas Jr. comments, "Florida is a big rival... they've got a great club, and it's always going to be real competitive. It was a great atmosphere to be in. Just a great game, we just didn't come through in the end."

FSU Head Coach Mike Martin adds, "This was a game that I'll lose some sleep over. I mean this is Florida man, you don't want to be beat by Florida, but it happened, now you have to roll through and be ready for North Carolina."

Nothing to be embarrassed for the Seminoles. A great pitching performance from the bullpen and some stellar defensive plays by the Florida Gators. Of course, the most important thing is that there's no effect in the conference schedule. That changes on Friday, when they host the UNC Tar Heels.
