UGA Baseball Defeats No. 9 Arkansas

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) _ Ryan Peisel and Gordon Beckham had two R-B-Is
apiece and Stephen Dodson pitched a complete game to lead Georgia
to a 6-to-1 victory over Arkansas tonight.
Dodson (4-4) allowed one run, three hits and struck out six for
Georgia.
The Bulldogs (14-24, 6-10 Southeastern Conference) took a 5-to-0
lead in the second inning on Joey Lewis' solo homer, Peisel's
two-run triple and a two-run homer by Beckham.
The Razorbacks (30-11, 11-5) scored a run in the third when
Danny Hamblin had a solo homer, but they never got any closer.
Nick Schmidt (8-1) gave up six runs, seven hits but didn't allow
a walk in eight innings for Arkansas. He also had four strikeouts.
