CHICAGO (AP) _ The Miami Heat found out right away in the
playoffs that defending their first N-B-A championship won't be
Luol Deng scored 33 points and the Chicago Bulls held off the
Heat 96-to-91 in their opening-round playoff game. Deng made 14 of
22 shots. Ben Gordon added 24 points and a career-high eleven
The Heat trailed 92-91 with 38 seconds left but Ben Gordon hit
two foul shots with 18 seconds left. After a timeout, Dwyane Wade
missed a three-pointer and Andres Nocioni hit two more free throws
with nine-point-eight seconds left for the final score.
Wade scored nine of his 21 points in the fourth quarter.
Shaquille O'Neal finished with 19 points before fouling out.
