TALLAHASSEE-- They always say that the draft is where some dreams are made and some are broken.
Left out of that motto are those who aren't drafted but still have a career ahead of them. That's where FAMU's great receiver Roosevelt Kiser fits in. He was a class-act and fun to watch on the Orange and Green, and the Ft. Lauderdale native is now a little closer to home.
He was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars along with Rattlers teammate Dan Parrish after the draft concluded.
What does this mean? His dream is still alive:
Kiser said, "They called me right before the 7th round and told me that I was on their radar and that they were looking at me and I might have a chance to get drafted in the 7th round, but it didn't workout that way and as soon as that last pick was going across the screen they called me and told me they want to offer me a free agent deal and I took it."
