VALDOSTA, GA---The Lowndes High Vikings have made a name for themselves in South Georgia. They rank as one of the best programs in the area, and have already earned their region title.
They have now won three region titles in a row, and now it's time to look for more. They have a regular season game to finish up today, but come Saturday the playoffs begin. It also marks the start of a run to the state title.
The early success should provide an advantage, coach Redshaw will tell you, there's no place like home:
"We won the region title this past Friday night, we beat Warner Robbins 11-9, our 7th region title in the last 9 years. It puts as at the number 1 seed, and gives us a good bracket in the playoffs. We'll be at home, at least, for the first four rounds," says head coach Danny Redshaw.
