ATHENS, Ga. (AP) _ Alex Feinberg drove in a career-high six runs
and led Vanderbilt's season-high 23-hit attack by going 5-for-5 as
the Commodores pounded Georgia 15-to-4 in the rubber game of a
three-game weekend series today.
The Commodores (41-9, 17-7 Southeastern Conference) also got
three hits and three R-B-I from Dominic de la Osa and three hits
and two R-B-I from Ryan Flaherty.
Reliever Ty Davis (2-0) held the Bulldogs hitless over the last
six and two-thirds innings. He walked none and fanned four. Starter
Cody Crowell was chased in the third, having given up four runs and
Feinberg hit a two-run homer in the third inning, his third, and
de la Osa hit his 14th for the Commodores.
Jason Leaver (1-2) was chased after facing two batters in the
third inning. He gave up four runs on five hits.
Rich Poythress drove in two runs for the Bulldogs (19-30, 8-16).
