Seminole Classic Opens Friday
The No. 9/12 Florida State Seminoles (4-0) will welcome Auburn (3-2) to the Donald L. Tucker Center on Friday in the second game of the Seminole Classic

The No. 9/12 Florida State Seminoles (4-0) will welcome Auburn (3-2) to the Donald L. Tucker Center on Friday in the second game of the Seminole Classic at 7 p.m. Missouri and Florida A&M will kick off the tournament at 5 p.m. before the Seminoles and Tigers take to the floor.
The Rattlers will take on Auburn on Saturday at 2 p.m. before FSU and Missouri wrap up the tournament on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Friday's contest will be the 11th meeting between the two teams as Auburn has dominated the head-to-head series by a 9-1 margin, including 9 straight victories. The two squads have not met on the hardwood since 2003 when Auburn bounced Florida State from the NCAA Tournament by a 68- 57 margin in the second round.
Scouting Auburn
• Auburn is coming off a 62-56 home win over Georgia Southern on Tuesday when Keke Carrier poured in 17 points for the Tigers.
• Alli Smalley is leading the Tigers in scoring with 18.4 points per game and has led Auburn in scoring every game except against Georgia Southern.
• The Tigers turned in a 30-4 season a year ago when All-American DeWanna Bonner averaged 21.1 points per game to help Auburn to a No. 2 seed in the Oklahoma City Regional. The Tigers were knocked off in the second
round by Rutgers by an 80-52 margin.
• Auburn was pegged No. 8 in the initial SEC poll as voted on by the SEC media members.
Last Time Out
• Jacinta Monroe scored 14 points before twisting her left knee midway through the second half, and No. 13 Florida State beat Georgia State 66-53 on Sunday. Alysha Harvin scored 13 points, all in the second half, and also grabbed a team-best seven rebounds for the Seminoles (4-0), who were playing their third game in six days. Florida State pulled
away after having its lead cut to five points.
