USF Defeats Montana 63-53 At The LMU Thanksgiving Classic
KaNeisha Saunders led three players in double figures with a career-high 21 points as the University of South Florida women’s basketball defeated Montana 63-53 in the first round of the Courtyard by Marriott L.A. Thanksgiving Classic.

Los Angeles, CA - KaNeisha Saunders led three players in double figures with a career-high 21 points as the University of South Florida women’s basketball defeated Montana 63-53 in the first round of the Courtyard by Marriott L.A. Thanksgiving Classic at Loyola Marymount University.
Jessica Lawson added 15 points and 15 rebounds – for her fourth double-double in five games – and Sequoyah Griffin chipped in with 12 points en route to the win.
The Bulls led by as many as 18 points in the second half, with 9:42 remaining, however the Lady Griz would cut the USF lead to seven points before USF pulled away for the win.
The Bulls will now face the home standing Lions in the championship game on Saturday at 6 p.m. (ET). Loyola Marymount defeated Saint Louis 87-61 in the day’s other first round game.
