FSU Baseball Bitten by Bulldogs

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) _ Left-hander Justin Pigott limited
Florida State to three hits to lead Mississippi State to a
3-to-nothing victory.
The Bulldogs scored all the runs they would need with two in the
top of the third off Florida State ace Bryan Henry and will play
for the N-C-double-A Regional title.
Closer Aaron Weatherford registered four strikeouts to secure
his fourth save of the season and hand Florida State its first
shutout loss of the season.
It was the first shutout win of the season for the Bulldogs, who
need just one victory to advance to the N-C-double-A Super
Regional.
Florida State must string together three consecutive victories
to keep its season alive. The Seminoles next meet Stetson -- a
12-to-nothing winner over Bethune-Cookman.
