From the beginning the Tallahassee Titans have had one goal in mind, winning a championship, and after an 11-3 regular season, that goal is only 3 games away.

Ben Dougherty said, "We have a goal to win a ring and the league buys us a very nice ring if we're to win the championship, so that's been our goal all year."

Dougherty and the Titans begin their quest on Sunday in Mississippi against the Mudcats, the only team to defeat the Titans twice during the regular season, including a road loss in which the Titans put up 75 points, only to see the defense give up 80.

Dougherty said, "We feel comfortable that if we were to score 75 points this coming weekend that our defense would be able to hold them underneath that 75."

That's a lot of confidence for a team playing in their first playoff game not to mention it being a road game.

Dougherty said, "We're really excited. We've played well on the road all year long and it shouldn't be too big of a challenge for us to go there and get a victory."

And putting the Titans one step closer to that ultimate prize, the AIFL Championship.
