Three Bulls Named To NSCAA All-Region Team
The University of South Florida men's soccer team had three players selected to the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Men's Division I All-Northeast Region Team.

Tampa, FL - The University of South Florida men's soccer team had three players selected to the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Men's Division I All-Northeast Region Team.
Senior Zak Boggs and junior Jeff Attinella were picked for the first team while senior Francisco Aristeguieta was a third team honoree.
Boggs, a midfielder from Vienna, West Virginia, has been a key player for the Bulls the past two seasons. Boggs earned nine points this season, scoring four goals and one assist. Three of the four goals scored by Boggs were game winning goals. During the 2009 season, Boggs was named a Lowes Senior Class Award finalist. The winner will be announced on December 10.
Attinella, a goalkeeper from Safety Harbor, has been a important part of the Bulls success. During the 2009 season, Attinella recorded seven shutouts and allowed only 18 goals in 1,964 minutes of play. During the 2009 season, Attinella was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the week for the week's ending Sept 12, Oct.4 and Oct.25 while also being named BIG EAST Conference Goalkeeper of the Year. Most recently, Attinella was named to the 2009 NSCAA/Performance Subaru Men's Division I All-America First Team. Attinella was one of only three BIG EAST players to be named to one of the three All-America teams.
Aristeguieta, a midfielder from Caracas, Venezuela, has provided key leadership for the Bulls during his four years with the team. Aristeguieta was named team captain his sophomore, junior and senior year. During the 2009 season, Aristeguieta was named a Lowes Senior Class Candidate and he was also named to the third team All-BIG EAST Conference.
Fourteen of the 34 players who were named to one of the three Northeast All-Region teams hailed from BIG EAST Schools, with five from Connecticut, three from USF, three from West Virginia, and one from St. Johns and Georgetown.
