Tony Thomas, Jr. said, "At first I was just completely speechless, just overwhelmed by the whole thing."
Bryan Henry said, "It's just been a dream of mine to get a chance to play pro ball and now I finally have that opportunity."
Ernie Banks, Ron Cey, Ryne Sandberg, Tony Thomas Junior now has the chance to join those storied names in Chicago Cubs history, talk about a dream come true.
Thomas said, "We were talking about it the other day, we were watching ESPN and thinking in a couple of years that could be me out there. It's just crazy knowing how close I am to making it right now."
Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, Luis Gonzalez, Bryan Henry could be listed with that group of Arizona Diamondbacks one day.
Henry said, "Once I get out there and see all the guys, see the different teams and just start playing, it'll probably sink in, but right now I still feel like a Seminole and I'm ready to get started.
While both are Seminoles they will have unique paths to the majors beginning with the moment they sign on the dotted line.
Thomas said, "They told me as soon as I sing they're going to send me out to Boise Idaho to start playing up there in low A."
Henry said, "The scout that drafted me said they may shut me down because of the innings that I've thrown, but they may throw me right into it."
Either way both Thomas and Henry now have the opportunity that they've dreamed of as kids, and who wouldn't be excited about that.
