Godby quarterback A.J. Graham broke onto the scene last season as a sophomore throwing for more than 1,100 yards and 15 touchdowns leading the Cougars to an undefeated regular season.
But that was then, and this is now as Graham prepares for his junior year with off-season workouts.
A.J. Graham said, "It's pretty good, you see what other teams got and just coming out having fun and trying to make sure what you have to work on in the off-season."
This season Graham won't catch anybody off guard which is why the Cougars signal caller needs to work with his receivers harder than ever.
Graham said, "We're looking pretty good, our timing's been off a little bit. It's helpful getting the offense's timing down, it's just really effective out here."
Godby's heralded running game certainly garners most of the headlines, but it is Graham's calmness on the field that spearheads the offense and will help the Cougars towards their one and only goal for the year.
Graham said, "This upcoming year we hope to repeat Districts and take it further in State this year."
A goal the Cougars can accomplish if their 6'2" quarterback can continue to improve.
