The South Georgia Blazers enjoyed a view of the diamond, and that diamond happens to be in Cooperstown, NY, largely considered to be the birthplace of baseball, and certainly where legends are enshrined in the Hall of Fame.
It's a feat in itself for the South Georgia Blazers, a youth travel team, just to play at Dreams Park, but how about winning 9 straight games, and finishing in 5th place of 96 teams.
In reality, there were no losers at all. Only the top 96 of the nation's 1,364 were invited to the prestigious tournament.
"It's pretty emotional.... it was quite an experience for all the kids and all the parents... I don't think it can be matched in youth sports," says South Georgia Blazers Head Coach Tiger Berard.
