A little golf is played in Thomasville without your typical golfers. The athletes were pros, just of different sports.

The celebrity event was thrown by Danny Copeland, to raise money for his COGI Sports Training philanthropy fund, which results in scholarships for young athletes.

Among the big named guests include Charlie Ward, former Major League closer Billy Taylor, and even Shawn Jones, a former Thomasville High football star who was the star QB under Bobby Ross when Georgia Tech won the National Championship in 1990.

"Any child that has the opportunity to train athletically and wants us to be a part of what he's doing, getting the character development is so important. That he has the opportunity to help each kid and not have to turn any kid away," explained Jones.
