Marlins Can't Swim Past Padres

SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Mike Cameron scored on an error by catcher
Miguel Olivo with no outs in the ninth to give the San Diego Padres
a 1-to-0 victory over the Florida Marlins.
Chris Young, who was left off the N-L All-Star team announced
Sunday, struck out nine while holding Florida to five hits in seven
innings. He was not involved in the decision. Young may still make
the All-Star team. He was leading the balloting in online voting
for the final spot on the N-L squad. Voting ends Thursday evening.
The 6-foot-10 right-hander lowered his E-R-A to two-point-oh-oh.
That ties Brad Penny of the Los Angeles Dodgers for the best in the
majors. Penny and Padres ace Jake Peavy are the candidates to start
for the N-L in Tuesday night's game at San Francisco.
Heath Bell pitched a perfect ninth for the win. He's 2-and-2.
