They don't steal from the rich and give to the poor, but they are quite talented with the bow & arrows. In fact, they are the Peach State's most accurate club.
The Mitchell-County Archery Team is back from a trip to archery Nationals in Rapid City, South Dakota. The group represented Georgia in that competition and actually placed 4th in the country.
It’s quite the accomplishment from a handful of teens, right in our own backyard. The emotion alone from the members makes it evident that archery in South Georgia is a big deal.
"My emotion was yes, we won fourth, so I was just so happy and so excited that we had finished in the top four in the nation," said Michael Harper, Mitchell County Archery Club Member.
