I hope you enjoyed the holiday, and while you're in the patriotic mood, let's talk some Walter Dix.
The FSU Track Superstar and one-time holder of the fastest 200-meter sprint time of the year, qualified for the World Championships hosted by Osaka, Japan.
At the time, it was widely believed that Dix would pass on the opportunity to represent the Stars and Stripes, because he is just coming off an NCAA Championship, which is one more big track meet than the pros have to deal with.
Last week when we spoke to the track superstar, he told us of different thoughts.
"Right now, it's looking like I'm going to go out there and try to break the record... Make FSU proud, make my family proud, and most importantly, make the Lord proud," said Dix.
