Ex-Chipola College Indian Beats Florida Marlins

LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Russell Martin, who played college ball at Chipola Community College in Marianna, FL., hit a two-run homer and Andre Ethier (EETH'-ee-ur) added a three-run shot and the L-A Dodgers
beat Florida 9-to-3 to avoid a sweep heading into the All-Star
break.
The Dodgers had lost four in a row and seven of eleven before
salvaging the finale of the three-game series.
Pitching on three days' rest, Mark Hendrickson allowed two runs
and four hits in five innings for the win. He's 3-and-4. The lefty
started in place of Randy Wolf, who went on the 15-day disabled
list recently with left shoulder pain.
Scott Olsen is 6-and-7 with the loss. He gave up three runs on
five hits in one inning, his shortest outing of the year.
