Two FSU Athletic Administrators Resign

The week began with the news that Florida State Athletic Director Dave Hart was, in fact, a lame duck, once FSU President T.K. Wetherell notified him in a note that his contract would not be extended after 2009.

Today, more documents come into the fold as two senior athletic administrators with ties to Dave Hart dating back to his previous tenure at East Carolina have resigned.

Charlie Carr leaves his post as senior athletic director, while Pam Overton will step down from the associate athletics director.

The resignations take effect on October 1st.

" The 11 years I have spent developing the Student-Athlete Services program at FSU have been wonderful," said Pam Overton. "The student-athletes, staff, and supporters of the athletic program have been a pleasure to work with and together, we have made great strides as a department. It is with deep regret that I will be leaving the Seminole family, but I will always be a Seminole."

"No one would ever want to leave the people in the program at Florida State," said Charlie Carr. "I've been looking at several opportunities over the last year and plan on pursuing one of these as soon as I've completed a few important projects here at FSU.
"I've enjoyed the relationships, the passion and the success brought on by our outstanding coaches, staff and most of all some very special student-athletes."
