SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Atlanta rookie Acie Law scored 24 points
to lead the Hawks to an 83-to-77 Summer League victory over the
Dallas Mavericks tonight in Salt Lake City.
Law -- drafted by Atlanta with the Number 11 overall pick last
month -- had five assists, six rebounds and made 12-of-13 free
Second-year man Shelden Williams came close to a double-double
with 20 points and nine rebounds for Atlanta.
Law made his third consecutive start while Al Horford -- the
Hawks top pick at Number Three overall -- watched from the bench in
street clothes because of a twisted ankle.
Atlanta trailed 44-40 at the half, despite 14 points by Law and
ten by Williams.
The Hawks took the lead in the third with three minutes to go
and finished the quarter on top 62-to-55.
