Wigginton Fuels Tampa Bay Victory

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) _ Ty Wigginton is probably the hottest
hitter in baseball. He went four-for-four for the second straight
game in the Devil Rays' 8-to-3 win over the L-A Angels. He's tied a
Tampa Bay record with eight consecutive hits.
Wigginton had four hits during a loss to the New York Yankees on
Sunday. He drove in one run with a fifth-inning single off Ervin
Santana and another with a single off Chris Bootcheck in the
seventh. Santana is 5-and-11 with the loss.
James Shields got the win to improve to 8-and-5. He gave up
seven hits and two runs in seven innings for Tampa Bay.
