Marlins Triple Up on the Reds

Dan Uggla went 4 for 5 with three RBIs and two runs scored, including a tiebreaking two-run homer in the seventh. Mike Jacobs also hit a two-run shot and Miguel Cabrera added a two-run single as the Marlins beat the Reds for the third straight day.

Jeff Keppinger had four hits and two RBIs for the Reds, who were outscored 30 to 6 over the final three games of the four-game set. Keppinger hit a two-run homer in the top of the first.

Renyel Pinto pitched the seventh to move to 2 and 3. Bronson Arroyo fell to 4 and 11, yielding four runs and eight hits in six-plus innings.

Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez partially dislocated his left shoulder on a swing in the first inning and left tonight's game against Cincinnati.

With the count 0 and 1, Ramirez swung at a 76 mph breaking pitch from Bronson Arroyo, missed and hurt his shoulder on the long follow-through. He immediately grabbed his shoulder with a grimace and walked to the dugout.

The shoulder popped back into place before the inning ended, and Ramirez might be back in the lineup as early as Tuesday at Arizona.

Florida Marlins left-hander Scott Olsen departed on a road trip with the team today despite his troubles of the past week. That includes a two-game suspension and an early-morning arrest after he allegedly fought with police.

Olsen was still scheduled to take his regular turn in the rotation at Arizona.

Olsen was arrested around 4 a.m. after refusing to pull over and getting into a fight with police. He was booked on charges of driving under the influence, resisting an officer with violence and fleeing and eluding an officer.
