JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) _ Jacksonville Jaguars Marcus Stroud is
working hard to come back to Pro Bowl after recovering from
offseason ankle surgery.
Stroud showed a promising sign in yesterday's drill, but he says
he still has high expectations to reach.
The three-time Pro Bowl starter hoped to rebound in 2006, but he
injured his right ankle in practice right before the season opener.
Stroud had microfracture surgery to repair a hole in his ankle
cartilage, causing him to sit out on most of the team's offseason
Stroud says he spends extra time rehabbing, extra time
conditioning, extra time in the weight room and extra time in
meeting and video rooms.
Coach Jack Del Rio was impressed with Stroud during practice and
said his hard work will make him again the Pro Bowl defensive
tackle they need.
